What we collect
Your email address and password (stored only as a bcrypt hash), the onboarding details you provide (country, study level, subjects, exam date, daily goal), and your study activity — which questions you answered, whether you were correct, flashcard reviews, exam sessions and which explanations you opened.
Why we collect it
Your answer history is what makes weak-area detection, spaced repetition and the study planner work. Without it the product cannot tell you what to study next. We also use aggregate, de-identified statistics to find questions that are ambiguous or badly worded.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not share your study record with your institution, and nobody at your university can see how you performed here. Your answers, scores and weak areas are never sent to an advertiser.
Advertising and analytics
We use two third-party tools on our public pages. The Meta (Facebook) pixel tells us which adverts bring people here, recording that a visit, a signup or a purchase happened and the amount paid. tawk.to shows us, live, which pages visitors are reading, and records the address you connect from and your rough location. Neither is given your name, your answers or your scores. tawk.to runs only on our public pages, never inside the app, so it cannot see which subjects you study. The pixel reports signups and purchases, so it knows an account was created and what was paid, and nothing about your studying. If you are in the EEA or the UK neither loads until you agree, and you can change or withdraw that below at any time. Everywhere else you can block them with any content blocker or your browser's tracking protection. The site works exactly the same without them.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details; we store only a Stripe customer identifier and your subscription status.
Your rights
You can request an export of your data or permanent deletion of your account and all associated study records by emailing support@examroad.com. Deletion is irreversible.
